“Saving faith will always produce conformity to the image of Jesus Christ.” -John R RiceAccording to the Bureau of Justice, in 2010, over eight million households in the United States had at least one family member who had their identity stolen. They also reported nearly 64% of the population had credit card accounts that were either misused or attempted to be misused. Identity fraud is simply the act of stealing someone's identity in hopes of financial gain. It is trying to be someone or something you are not. I think we can all agree that identity fraud is a big problem in our financial institutions, but I also believe it's a problem in our churches and so called “Christians” today.  2 Timothy 3:5 says, “Having a form of godliness, denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” Paul is saying that people would be religious but not redeemed. God looks beyond the “religious” cover ups of men and sees what's in the heart. Today, I encourage you to truly search your heart and see if you are religious or redeemed. When someone is redeemed, their life will begin to mirror the life of Christ. The word “Chrisitian” means “Christ-like”. A Christ-like love is the greatest need we have in the world today. A pure Christ-like love can change the world.
