Throughout the Old Testament, people prophesied that a Saviour would one day come. The book of Matthew records what is known as the Christmas story, and in it, we learn that prophecy was fulfilled and that Jesus truly was born.

Jesus wasn’t just some ordinary baby; He was God incarnated into man. He was the God Man. While he may have been born in a lowly manger, He was and is the King of Kings.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1)
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

"He was born to die so that we might live!"
The main reason Jesus came to this earth was to die for mankind. Today, you and I can not only have peace in this life, but also peace after death, because one night in a lowly manger…“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11)
