I am sure we have all seen this poster and heard the statement, “looking for a few good men.” Most of the time this is referring to the military. However, the same is true with God. God is looking for a few good men.

Isaiah 6:8 says, “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Just as God was looking for someone to serve Him in Isaiah's day, He is still looking for someone to serve Him today.

But often our natural reaction is to believe that God won’t, or can’t, use us. Isaiah 6:5 says, “Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips:” Isaiah admits to wrongs in his life, but God is still willing to use him. Isaiah 6:9-10 says, “Then said I, Here am I; send me. And he said, Go,”. As soon as Isaiah submitted himself, God was able and willing to use him. God didn’t hesitate because of Isaiah’s admitted flaws because He saw Isaiah’s potential to serve Him.

God has a plan and a purpose for each of our lives. You may not be a preacher or a Sunday school teacher, but God has a plan for your life. Will you be like Isaiah and answer His call?
