One of the greatest tools Satan uses to hinder us from accomplishing what God has for our lives is distraction. Here are a few things I recently read on the topic of staying focused.

*Pay more attention to the things that are working positively in your life than the things that are giving you trouble.

*Clear your mind of the things that are out of your control in order to focus on and act upon your goals for the day.   Many times we find ourselves in a panic and at wit's end over things that we can do nothing about. Learning to give these things to God and simply pray instead of worry will help us to stay focused on the things we can do. “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Isaiah 26:3*

The words of others will be one of the primary distractions that will work to hinder you. If you do just once what others say you can’t, then the words of others will never stop you again. If you allow other people to stop you, they will.

*Concentrate on one thing at a time and rule out all influences that don’t have bearing on the task at hand. The majority of the time your critics are people who have no clue what they're talking about. We must learn to give a deaf ear to those Satan is trying to use to hinder us.

Paul said in Phillippians 3, “this one thing I do…

” D.L. Moody said, “I had rather say this one thing I do than these 40 things I dabble with.” Find what it is God has for your life and then do it. Don't let Satan distract you from God’s work and pull you away from the best God has for your life.
